I decided to go for a run along the riverside this morning. It was great to take in the water, the trees, little yachts moored up and all the ducks, moorehens and coots. I even saw a heron perched on one of the canal boats. He didn't seem bothered by me at all and watched me run past without a care. I was more concerned about him spearing me through the eye. Animals don't like me for some reason.

My morning run was going really well and I was thinking about doing this route every morning, until I hit a patch of mud, slipped over and nearly ended up in the river. After about a mile the footpath just degenerates into this swamp of mud. It was probably a good time to turn back, get showered and go to work anyway. But if i want to run that route some more, I think I'll need some proper outdoor shoes like trail running trainers or something. I see that Merrell make quite a selection of these. May have to invest in a pair of the weather isn't going to warm up quickly and dry out all the footpaths.

On a seperate note: I got the office stereo working. The radio won't work, but the CD player works fine. So I tried it out with a bit of Jamiroquai, then got ridiculed for listening to 'old' music. Looked on the back of the CD case, which read 1996. Hmmm...
